While being staff at Elastic Creative, I had one of the coolest opportunities to be lead designer for this vision video for Corning’s A Day Made of Glass. It was 2012, and it’s still one of the largest productions I’ve ever gotten to work on. The Motion / VFX / Post-production team was nearly 20 heads.
I vividly remember how intense post-production was for this project. As the lead designer, I recall having creative directors, directors, and agency account managers standing directly behind me as I presented reasoning for various design decisions. The pressure testing gave me invaluable insight on how high-profile projects can not only seriously test where your boundaries are as an artists, but also how much your communication skills need to be in tip-to- shape.

The UI/UX space was still fairly new in the industry, the design language, industry wide, was going through an evolution, and this was a chance to help define the look of user interaction, as the advent of interactive screens and surfaces began to occupy homes, offices, hospitals, event spaces and attractions around the world.
